A Wander Through Christmas Past

Take a wander with me through Christmas past as I reminisce on favourite decorations and celebrations gone by, as well as the exciting event I have coming very soon.

We are here again in December, my favourite time of year. I love Christmas. My mum loves home design magazines, and I have always loved pouring through them, especially when it came to Christmas. I would get endless inspiration for decorating the house. From a young age, I found joy making paper snowflakes for the windows and paper chains for the ceiling. Then, as I got older, I would transform a dining space with homemade decorations & multicolour bubbles, and I’d forage in the garden to make wreaths to dress the stairs in foliage. I’d always have a new stocking ready for my ever growing family, made from my old college and uni fabrics. Having the dining table laid beautifully with embroidered napkins and festive decorations brings a special touch to those you gather to celebrate the big day with.  I love that decorating can transform a space, in preparation for celebration that brings people together.

You can imagine my delight with my joy for Christmas, starting a new embroidery business and starting to do fairs at Christmas all combined. This time is the best time of the year!! My imagination ran wild with creations, so wild that I had cut and embroidered so many pieces that I couldn’t keep up with sewing and finishing them. So, this year as I haven’t been doing the fairs, I would like to host an online Yuletide Treasure Extravaganza, where It's time to slow down and bring these pieces to life along with past favourites. The sale will run from Thursday 12th – Tuesday 17th December 2024 and include some of my previous favourite decorations. Perfect for picking up last bits in time for the holidays.

Since starting my business, I have loved going to friends and family’s homes and seeing my decorations on the tree or stockings on the mantel piece. It makes me so happy that Olivia Gina can be a part of your decoration and celebration in a small way. I look forward to you joining the Yuletide Treasure Extravaganza!
